Problem Solving in the Investment Advising Space

A few months ago, I was speaking with the Alpha Architect team about writing in finance. I follow so many folks in the FinTwit (Finance Twitter) sphere who have amazing articles, whitepapers, blogs, and podcasts about the asset management and planning space, but I was hesitant to share the work we do here at IDM. Wes Gray, CEO of Alpha Architect, finally convinced me to discuss a problem that IDM helped solve for the advisor community we are so passionate about serving.

In that spirit, I’d like to invite you to a series of case studies about advisor teams we’ve supported. I intend to cut through the noise of our work, break down the complexity of the model construction process, and invite you into the world of utilizing an Outsourced Chief Investment Officer at your firm. Each case study will outline the following:

  • Size of the group- advisor headcount/experience
  • Assets managed- AUM
  • Custody/Broker-Dealer affiliation
  • Challenges facing the group, i.e., why they chose to partner with IDM
  • Unique characteristics of this group vs. others we work with today
  • Niche
